    John Shorthouse

    JOHN SHORTHOUSE
    Play-by-Play, Canucks Pay-Per-View
John Shorthouse will enter his 13th year behind the Vancouver Canucks play-by-play microphone in the 2010-11 season. John is the third radio announcer in Canucks history and his appointment fulfills a life-long dream for the Vancouver native. A graduate of the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Shorthouse spent eight years at Global television. He began as a writer/researcher, then became a reporter and host for the station’s sports department. Shorthouse then spent one year calling games for CTV Sportsnet/VTV and CKNW before taking on radio and Pay-Per-View play-by-play duties full time. Shorthouse, his wife, Christina and their dog, Moses reside in Vancouver.

    Rick Ball

    RICK BALL
    Play-by-Play
Rick Ball brings over 15 years in the broadcasting business to his role as the play-by-play voice of the BC Lions on TEAM 1410, and co-voice of the Vancouver Canucks broadcasts on TEAM 1040. Rick has done it all in radio & television, from hosting talk shows on Victoria’s CFAX radio station, to calling Kelowna Rockets radio play by play and Vancouver Canucks television play by play for both VTV and Sportsnet. Up until 2009, Rick also hosted his own sports talk show on TEAM Radio for more than 5 years.

    Dave Tomlinson

    DAVE TOMLINSON
    Color Commentator
From North Vancouver to the NHL, Dave’s 15 year pro career had it all. With the Toronto Maple Leafs and Grant Fuhr’s bruises, to the Winnipeg Jets and Teemu Selanne’s goals, to the Florida Panthers and Ed Jovanovski’s hits…Dave played with and against the greats in the sport. Ten years of pro hockey in Europe also gave Dave another perspective on the game, and appearances with Team Canada made him proud to wear the flag.  With a year already under his belt in the Canucks broadcast booth, Dave is once again excited to continue adding analysis and insight into every Canucks game in anticipation of another trip to the Finals.
