The Vancouver Canucks visit Nashville tonight in the second game of their six game road trip. The Canucks are 2-1 against the Preds this season including a 4-3 shootout victory at Bridgestone Arena just two weeks ago. Including their playoff series last spring, the Canucks have won five straight games in Music City USA and are 6-1 in their last 7 there. The Preds are 7-0-1 in their last 8 home games with the only setback coming against the Canucks. Read more »

Canucks practice recap February 17th

The Canucks skated for an hour Friday morning at Rogers Arena ahead of Saturday afternoon’s showdown with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Chris Tanev skated alongside Aaron Rome on defence in practice and will line-up there in Saturday’s game. Tanev will also travel with the team on its upcoming road trip that starts Sunday night in Edmonton. Keith Ballard will not make the trip due to his neck issues. Read more »

The Canucks and Colorado meet for the 4th time this season tonight at Rogers Arena. The Canucks are 3-0 after a 3-2 shootout victory in Denver 10 days ago. The Canucks are 12-0-2 in their last 14 games against the Avalanche. The Canucks are 12-3-1 in the Northwest Division this season and over the past three seasons are 45-14-5 which amounts to 95 of the last 128 points available to them (74.2%). Read more »

Canucks Practice Recap February 14th

Following Monday night’s 2-1 shootout victory over Phoenix, the Canucks celebrated Valentine’s Day with a morning practice at Rogers Arena.

Alain Vigneault mixed up his bottom two lines a bit with the imminent return of Chris Higgins to the lineup. Higgins, who said he expects to play on Wednesday vs. Colorado, skated on a line with Max Lapierre and Jannik Hansen while Cody Hodgson practiced with Manny Malhotra and Byron Bitz.

Canucks vs Coyotes Game Day Report

Keith Ballard was the only player absent from the Canucks’ morning skate at Rogers Arena as Chris Higgins practiced with the team for the first time since being sidelined with “flu-like symptoms” as a result of the medication he was taking to deal with his infection.

Both Higgins and Dale Weise are getting better and could slot back into the lineup as soon as Wednesday. Neither will play tonight though, as the Canucks are expected to ice the same roster that lost in Calgary on Saturday night. Read more »
