Canucks practice update January 19th
Canucks skated for an hour at Rogers Arena Thursday morning. Chris Tanev was on ice with group, Sami Salo was not. However, Salo skated on his own prior to practice for a 2nd straight day. Tanev was paired with Edler at practice while Ballard skated with Rome. AV said the team felt it needed another right-handed player in its top four right now. Read more »
Canucks vs LA Kings Game Day Report
The Canucks host the LA Kings for the third time this season and the first time at Rogers Arena. The teams split their games at Staples Center with the Canucks winning 3-2 on November 10th and the Kings posting a 4-1 victory on New Year’s Eve. Andrew Ebbett is the only Canucks forward to score against the Kings this season with the other goals coming from Kevin Bieksa, Sami Salo and Aaron Rome. Read more »
Canucks practice update — January 16th
The Canucks skated at Rogers Arena this morning after last night’s 4-2 loss to Anaheim. All players except Sami Salo were on the ice. Salo remains out indefinitely with a concussion and there was no update given on his status today. Read more »
Canucks vs Ducks Game Day January 15th
The Vancouver Canucks face the Anaheim Ducks for the third time this season, but the first at Rogers Arena. The teams split their two games at the Honda Center with Anaheim winning 4-3 on November 11th and the Canucks skating to a 5-2 victory on December 29th. Read more »
Canucks vs St. Louis Blues Game Day
The Vancouver Canucks wrap up their four game road trip with a stop in St. Louis. The Canucks (27-14-3 & 57 pts) sit just two points up on the Blues (25-12-5 & 55 pts) for top spot in the NHL’s Western Conference. This is the third meeting of the year between the teams with St. Louis winning the previous two 3-0 on October 26th and 3-2 on November 4th. After the November loss, the Canucks dropped to 6-7-1 on the season. Since then, they are 18-5-2 in their past 25 game. Read more »
