Abbotsford Heat Beat Rochester to Open Road Trip

Paul Byron gets winner in 3-2 victory

The Abbotsford Heat pushed their AHL-best record to 10-1-3 with a 3-2 win over Rochester Friday night in the opening leg of a five-game Eastern road trip.

Paul Byron’s first goal of the season, 8:42 into the third period, proved to be the game-winner.

Sven Baertschi and Quintin Laing also scored for the Heat, while Leland Irving had 36 saves for the win.

The road trip continues Sunday afternoon in Toronto, as the Heat face a Marlies team that they beat twice to start the month of November.
