The Abbotsford Heat hammered Hamilton 5-1 on Friday night at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre, to move their AHL-best record to 13-2-4.
Ben Walter and Ben Street paced the Heat, each scoring once and adding an assist.
Roman Horak, Quintin Laing, and Steve McCarthy also scored.
It was Horak’s first goal in nearly a month – a span of ten games – after he opened the season with ten goals in the first nine games.
Barry Brust stopped 15 shots for the win, moving his record to 6-0-0. Brust has a GAA of 0.66, with a .973 save percentage.
Hamilton falls to 6-9-2, worst in the Western Division.
Former Vancouver Giants forward Brendan Gallagher was held off the scoresheet Friday, but still leads the low-scoring Bulldogs with ten points in 17 games.
The two teams play again Saturday night.
