Vancouver Canucks came back to beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in overtime Monday night at the Rexall Centre.
Chris Tanev scored the game-winner, his first NHL goal, with just 19.3 seconds left in the extra frame; Kevin Bieksa and Jannik Hansen had the other tallies for Vancouver.
Roberto Luongo made 25 saves including a penalty shot in OT to earn his third win of the season.
Oilers lost Mark Fistric (back) and Shawn Horcoff (broken knuckle) to injury.
Canucks wrap-up their mini two-game road trip in Minnesota Thursday afternoon; 5pm faceoff on TEAM1040.
Roberto Luongo was tested early as the Oilers came out strong. Luongo 2 saves on Eberle in 1st
Late in the first period Edmonton opened the scoring on the power play. Hemsky 1-0 Oilers
Mark Fistric would leave the game late in the first with an apparent back injury after missing Jordan Schroeder with a big hit.
Coach Alain Vigneault mixed-up the lines to start the second as Alex Burrows was reunited with the Twins on the top line.
Just over eight minutes into the middle frame– with Vancouver on the power play– Ryan Smyth would score his first of the season to put Edmonton up 2-0. Smyth SHG 2-0 Oilers
Devan Dubnyk was tested often in the second. Dubnyk save on Raymond in 2nd
Then at the 12:41 mark Jannik Hansen would cut the Oilers’ lead in half with his first goal of the year. Hansen 2-1 Oilers
Edmonton captain Shawn Horcoff left the game after taking a shot off the hand, he did not return due to a broken knuckle.
With just over two minutes left in regulation Kevin Bieksa also scored his first of the year to tie it up at two and force overtime. Bieksa 2-2

In overtime it was Luongo coming up with a huge save off Taylor Hall after Hall was hauled down by Daniel Sedin. Luongo save on Hall penalty shot in OT
Then with just 19.3 second left in overtime Chris Tanev scored his first career NHL goal with a great setup by the Sedins. Tanev 3-2 Canucks win in OT
Jannik Hansen led the Canucks with a goal and an assist, Luongo picked up his third straight win, he now has a 1.53 GAA. Bieksa led the Canucks with five shots, Taylor Hall had six shots on net. Henrik Sedin went 18-and-5 in the faceoff circle.
