The Vancouver Giants blew a late 2 goal lead but came back to beat Prince George in a shootout Sunday afternoon at the Pacific Coliseum.
The Cougars scored two goals 28 seconds apart in the final 3 minutes setting the stage for a shootout that featured 14 shooters, with Carter Popoff finally ending it beating Cougar goaltender Mac Engel.
Payton Lee stopped 37 shots for the win.
Taylor Vickerman, Trevor Cheek and Riley Kieser scored for the Giants who pull within 5 points of the 8th place Cougars with the win.
The Giants next game is Friday Nov.16th at 7:30 against the Regina Pats at the Pacific Coliseum.
