The Canucks open a five-game road trip Wednesday night in Calgary, and they will not have Chris Higgins and Chris Tanev during the trip as both are out indefinitely with what Alain Vigneault is calling “lower-body” injuries.
TSN is reporting that Higgins has a sprained knee which is not considered serious, while Tanev is out with an ankle injury.
Vigneault said after Tuesday’s practice that he’s “hopeful” that Higgins will be ready for the playoffs, while he was unsure as to Tanev’s prognosis.
Canucks have won nine of 11 games entering Wednesday’s game against Calgary. Cory Schneider will start his 12th game in a row, after shutting out Phoenix 2-0 on Monday.
