Canucks GM Mike Gillis joined Rintoul and Botchford on Tuesday morning, a couple days after signing defenseman Jason Garrison to a six-year, $27.6m deal.
The Canucks also inked Andrew Ebbett and Steve Pinizzotto to two-way deals on Monday.
Roberto Luongo remains a Canuck, with Gillis insisting he’ll wait for the right deal.
“There’s lots of teams that are interested in an all-star goalie, even though many people refuse to believe that,” stated Gillis. “Which is stunning to me, because great players are so difficult to get and if they’re out there….you know, we’re in every possible deal we can be in when it comes to great players and trying to get them to come to Vancouver. So we’re talking to teams all the time when it comes to different possibilities.”
