
Photo: Jannik Hansen vs Matt Cooke | Aug. 05, 2009 The Vancouver Canucks have locked up forward Jannik Hansen with a two-way deal, worth $550,000 when Hansen is with the Canucks and $75,000 in the minors.
Hansen will need to clear waivers in order to be sent to the minors.
Hansen, 23, recorded 21 points (6-15-21) in 55 games played with the Canucks and one point (1-0-1) in two games played with the Manitoba Moose.
The Herlev, Denmark native set single-season highs with six goals, 15 assists and 21 points, and finished 25th in scoring among all rookies last season. The 6'1", 205lbs right-winger also appeared in two playoff games, going pointless in those games.
Hansen was originally selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the 9th round, 287th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
