Sept. 28, 2009 Canucks forward Jannik Hansen, who was in a fight for a third or fourth line spot, has seen his chances take a bit hit after breaking his hand in fight Sunday night with Oilers' forward Gilbert Brule in the final game of the preseason.

His injury means the likelihood of Tanner Glass or Cody Hodgson staying with the team has increased.
"It will be re-evaluated tomorrow," Alain Vigneault said Sunday of the new injury. "First look, doesn't look good, but we'll see tomorrow. He's one of the toughest Danes I've seen. It's not the first time he has fought. In this game, you've got to stand up for yourself every now and then. Jannik was supposed to be more of a third- or fourth-liner. If he is out for any length of time, are we going to keep a more skilled guy? Are we going to keep a younger guy? Are we going to keep a grittier guy? All those things we're going to discuss."
