Whitecaps Announce Playoff Ticket Details

Vancouver Whitecaps confirmed Wednesday that season ticket holders are now able to secure their seats at BC Place for the 2012 Major League Soccer Cup Playoffs.

Whitecaps FC are only one win away from making club and MLS history by becoming the first Canadian club to qualify for the postseason.

All current 2012 and 2013 season ticket holders will have until Wednesday, October 17, to secure their seats for both matches through a special one-week presale window by logging on to My Account Manager.

Following the presale, single match playoff tickets will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, October 20 at 9 a.m. PT.

“In only our second season in MLS, we have an opportunity to make history in front of our fans on October 21 with a victory against our expansion cousins and long-time rivals Portland Timbers at BC Place – our last regular season home match of 2012,” said Bob Lenarduzzi, Whitecaps FC president. “The club is focused on securing a berth in the postseason and we encourage our fans to secure their seats early so they don’t miss a minute of the action.”

Should the Blue and White qualify for the MLS postseason, they will secure the fifth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference, and play in a one-match ‘Wild Card’ game away to the fourth-place finisher in the Western Conference standings on Wednesday, October 31, or Thursday, November 1.

If they are successful in that match, Whitecaps FC will have the potential of hosting both the first leg of their Western Conference Semifinal series on Sunday, November 4 or Monday, November 5, and the first leg of the Western Conference Championship series on Saturday, November 10 or Sunday, November 11.

Whitecaps FC season ticket holders can guarantee their seats for these historic moments at BC Place with the ‘Pay As We Qualify’ playoff payment plan option – no money down; only pay for the games at BC Place.

With a nominal increase from regular season ticket prices, Whitecaps FC season ticket holders will continue to receive the best ticket prices, with savings over single match buyers in every category.

Whitecaps FC playoff tickets offer great value for postseason sporting action. Lower priced seating in BC Place (green, teal, aqua) will see a $5 increase per round – e.g. green – $20 current single match price to $25 for the Western Conference Semifinals and $30 for the Western Conference Championship. For yellow, ticket prices will increase by $7 per round, while premium seating (blue, purple, club, and loge) will increase by $10 per round.
