VANCOUVER (Friday, August 27th, 2010) – This week’s edition of The Sport Market on TEAM 1040 and teamradio.ca will put the spotlight on both the major sport business storylines of the past week and those of the month of August overall with the show’s regular month-end Round Table panel.
The Tiger Woods divorce and its impact on Tiger Woods, Inc., the tensions around the launch of Rogers Sportsnet ONE, the impact of major rain delays at the Rogers Cup women’s tennis tournament and the World Hockey Summit are among the week’s major talking points on tomorrow’s edition of The Sport Market on TEAM 1040 and teamradio.ca, which goes in an expanded time slot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT.
The show will also include debate on the major sport business headlines over the past month of August, including the launch of Rogers Sportsnet ONE, baseball news around both Alex Rodriguez and Roger Clemens and the impact of the NHL salary cap on players such as Antti Niemi of the Chicago Blackhawks and Ilya Kovalchuk of the New Jersey Devils.
The month-end Round Table panel, which will go from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. PT, will include Aziz Rajwani of the UBC Sauder School of Business and the Langara College School of Management, Bob Mackin of Business in Vancouver and 24 Hours Vancouver and special guest panelist Andrew Forsythe.
Forsythe, a Simon Fraser University student and contributor to the Peak student newspaper, won his berth on the Round Table panel for August in the July Fan Sweepstakes for The Sport Market on TEAM 1040 and teamradio.ca.
