TEAM 1040 SHOWS

Born and raised in New Westminster, Bob “the Moj” Marjanovich has been following sports ever since he was a kid. Whether it was going to Queens Park Arena to watch the Bruins of the Western Hockey League or listening to Jim Robson’s call of Canuck games, Bob has had a passion for sports all his life. His passion was not restricted to cheering on the likes of Andre Boudrias, Don Moorhead and Harold Phillipoff either. As a kid growing up, the Moj was nuts about his beloved Raiders, which at the time featured the likes of Kenny Stabler, Cliff Branch and Ted Hendricks; and Les Expos with Andre Dawson, Ellis Valentine and Woody Fryman.

This natural love for sports meant that Bob grew up playing sports such as baseball, lacrosse and football. Moj played two seasons of senior lacrosse in the WLA with the Richmond Outlaws (now Burnaby Lakers) and scored a grand total of one goal. His football career saw him play junior college in Stockton, California, Western Washington University and UBC. Somewhere in there was a stint with the Richmond Raiders as well! The Moj also wound up coaching at UBC for four years in the early ‘90’s.

His love of sports got him into to the sports media business as a freelance writer for Sports Vue, a now defunct sports weekly based out of Vancouver. Bob made his radio debut with the Sports Zone in February of 2001 on CKST 1040, which eventually became TEAM 1040.  After a few years with TEAM 1040 as co-host of the Road Show with David Pratt, Moj parted ways with the station to take on his own show on MOJO 730 in the summer of 2003.

Now, 5 years later, the Moj has returned to the TEAM 1040 to host Football Fix/Sports Action Saturdays with good buddy and former CFL footballer Chris Burns. Catch them live every Saturday from 12pm - 4pm on TEAM 1040!
