Play-by-Play
Peter Schaad’s broadcasting career has spanned 22 years including his most recent stint as drive host on 100.5 the PEAK. Peter’s ultimate career goal has been to one day be play-by-play voice of the Whitecaps soccer club, and he’s been providing commentary for the club since 2002. Vancouver born and raised, Schaad has been involved in soccer at all levels including player, referee, coach and director at various clubs in the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.

DAVID NORMAN

Scotland-born David Norman grew up playing soccer in Coquitlam, BC and went on to play 17 years as a professional, starting with hometown club Vancouver Whitecaps of the North American Soccer League (1980-84) and including a stint with the Vancouver 86ers in the A-League (1991-96). As a Canadian National Team member, this midfielder made 54 appearances internationally for Canada, including the Olympic Qualifying Games and Olympic Games in 1984, helping Canada to a quarter final finish, as well as the 1986 World Cup. He is one of only two Canadian Players to play every minute of the 8 World Cup qualifying games and every minute of the three World Cup games. Since retiring from professional soccer, David has stayed active within the game as a coach for several youth teams in Coquitlam, as well as appearing on TEAM Radio as a soccer analyst.

Match Day, including pre-game, half-time and post-game, is hosted by CTV’s PERRY SOLKOWSKI and JASON PIRES, and retired professional Canadian soccer player (and former Whitecap) CARLO CORAZZIN. Match Day reporters include TYLER GREEN, host of TEAM 1040’s Full-Time: Vancouver’s Soccer Show. Green will be on hand at the Matches to deliver player and coach interviews, expert guest analysis, and news from the field.
